Titus Salt – Next Steps Evening
In January, Mick who is part of the Bradford Pathways team, visited Hanson School during their ‘Next Steps’ evening.
- Mick spoke to parents and year 9/10 students about apprenticeship schemes and training
- Gave young people real life scenarios about expectations in the working environment and possible earnings
We had a number of different organisations who attended the event, all offering different things.

Lego League – Bradford University
The first lego league was hosted by Bradford University in December 2016.
The STEM Centre supported the event which involved secondary schools across the region. Bradford had the most schools participating and one of our schools, Belle Vue Girls, secured a place in the national competition.
Oakbank – Beckfoot PIN Event/Parents Information Event
In January, Bradford Pathways supported an event which was for students in years 7-10 and their parents.
Year 7-8 got information around Safety around Social Media and the Internet and how to tackle cyber bullying.
Year 9 and 10 it was all about next steps. So there was a presentation around apprenticeships and training, FE and 6th Form.
Over 100 parents and their children turned up to the event!!!
There was opportunity afterwards for 1:1 discussions with parents.
